External Transfers Tool

As of January 23, 2024, the Send Money Tool has been renamed External Transfers.

Remember having to ask what app someone had (e.g. Venmo or Zelle®) before sending cash? No more! Now send money to anyone using our External Transfers Tool! All you need is their phone number or email to send money.

With the External Transfers Tool you can:

  • Transfer money to any account OUTSIDE our Credit Union, including friends, family, ANYONE
    • A Checking account is required.
  • Transfer money to accounts you have at another financial institution

Send Money To Anyone

Send money to friends, family, your kids, anyone.

  1. Login to Tulee at tulee.figfcu.org or on the Tulee mobile app
  2. From the External Transfers Tool, click the Pay A Person tab.
  3. To add a new contact, click the (+) button and enter payee information (name, phone, and email).
  4. Enter a unique security question and answer.
    • Note: Your recipient will have to answer your security question before they can receive their payment. Please communicate the answer to them.
  5. Click SAVE AND PAY to proceed. Or click SAVE to store the contact (payee) information for later.
  6. Select funding account, transfer date, and whether one-time or recurring payment. Click the PAY button.
  7. Review payment information and click CONFIRM.

Note: to continue to send and receive money using Zelle, members must enroll their mobile number and FIGFCU debit card using the Zelle app. Click here for instructions of how to set up the Zelle app

Remember, you can only send money through Zelle to others who have Zelle. If they don’t, you will need to use another payment service they do have. Or you can use our External Transfers Tool to send money to anyone with a phone number or email.

Transfer Money To Another Financial Institution Account

Move money from your Credit Union account to an account you have at another financial institution. 

  1. Login to Tulee at tulee.figfcu.org or on the Tulee mobile app
  2. From the External Transfers Tool, click the Make a Transfer tab.
  3. Enter Transfer Amount
  4. In the 'From' field, choose the account the funds will come from
  5. In the 'To' field, click 'External Account'
  6. Find the bank name of the account you want to send money to 
  7. You will be asked to login into your external bank account 
  8. Follow the prompts to connect and add your external bank account
  9. Once you have added your account, back in Tulee, choose the external account 
  10. Click Transfer
  11. Click Confirm

Transfer Money From Another Financial Institution 

  1. Login to Tulee at tulee.figfcu.org or on the Tulee mobile app
  2. From the External Transfers Tool, click the MAKE A TRANSFER tab.
  3. Enter Payment Amount
  4. In the FROM field, choose ADD EXTERNAL ACCOUNT
  5. Find The name of the Bank you want to add
  6. Enter your Login information
  7. Choose how you would like to receive your security code, and enter it once received
  8. Your accounts will show, press CONTINUE
  9. Select the account(s) you would like to add, press NEXT
  10. Your account will appear under EXTERNAL ACCOUNTS, choose the account
  11. In the TO field, choose your Credit Card/Loan to be paid
  12. Choose the SEND DATE and FREQUENCY (one time or recurring)
  13. Click TRANSFER
  14. Click CONFIRM
