Open A Money Market

A business money market account is a savings option built for higher balances with a specific purpose—like tax reserves, payroll buildup, or a planned purchase—that typically offers tiered interest rates and more flexible access than a business savings account. Our Business Money Market is designed to let your funds earn more while staying accessible when you need them.

Tiered rates mean the interest rate you earn increases as your account balance grows, rewarding businesses that maintain higher balances. Our Business Money Market uses this structure, so funds you're setting aside for taxes, payroll, or planned expenses can earn more the longer and more substantially you hold them.

Yes, our Business Money Market includes check writing, so your funds stay flexible and usable even while earning a tiered rate—unlike accounts that lock funds away until a set maturity date.

Sweep services integration automatically transfers funds between your operating account and your Business Money Market account based on rules you set, helping you keep just what you need in checking while maximizing what's earning a return. It's a way to manage cash efficiently without manually moving money yourself.

Yes, our Business Money Market is built specifically for planned, intentional saving—like building toward payroll, setting aside tax reserves, or saving for a purchase you can see coming—combining tiered rates with the flexibility to access funds when the time comes.

Both accounts help your business build a financial cushion. The right one depends on how much you're setting aside and what you're setting it aside for.

Business Money Market: Built for businesses holding larger balances with a specific purpose in mind, like tax reserves, payroll buildup, or capital you're setting aside for a known future expense. It offers attractive tiered rates that typically increase your balance, so higher reserves earn more. A Business Money Market account includes check writing and additional money movement features for added flexibility. It's a home for funds you're not touching daily but still want quick access to when needed.

Business Membership Savings: This required account establishes your business membership with the Credit Union. It's built for straightforward, easy-to-access liquidity; think everyday reserves or an emergency cushion you might need on short notice. Low minimum balance of $5 to open and quick access to funds.

There's no minimum balance required to open our Business Money Market account. However, balances under $1,000 carry a $10 monthly fee, and the account begins earning interest once your balance reaches $2,500 or more. Your business banking relationship manager or a business banking support specialist can walk you through the specifics and help you decide if a Business Money Market account is the right match for your business.

*Membership eligibility and account approval required. An active FIG Credit Union business membership with a $5 minimum deposit required to establish and maintain membership, are required. APY = Annual Percentage Yield. APYs are accurate as of September 22, 2026, are variable, and may change after account opening. APYs vary by balance tier and are based on the applicable balance requirements. A $10 monthly maintenance fee applies and is waived when a $1,000 average daily balance is maintained. Fees may reduce earnings. Optional services may be subject to additional eligibility requirements, fees, and agreements. See the applicable fee schedule and account disclosures for complete terms and conditions.
