Dedicated Accounts
Payroll, taxes, and operating cash, each in its own account.
Organized Accounting
Separate reporting for better internal accounting.
Simplified Relationship
Every account, one login, one point of contact.
Running a business means managing money for more than one purpose, including payroll, taxes, operating costs, and savings for what's next. When it all lives in one account, it's easy to lose track of what's available for what. Sub-accounts let you separate funds by purpose while keeping everything under a single, consolidated financial relationship. Your books stay organized, your budgeting gets simpler, and you always know exactly where you stand.

- Nonprofits tracking multiple projects
Business sub-accounts are multiple accounts held under one consolidated business banking relationship, allowing you to separate funds by purpose, such as payroll, taxes, or operating expenses. This structure makes it easier to organize and track business finances without opening accounts at separate institutions.
Sub-accounts are available with our Advanced Business Checking and Analyzed Business Checking. There is a $10 per month charge per sub-account. This fee can be waived based on each account's average daily balance. For Advanced Business Checking, the $10 fee can be waived by maintaining a minimum $15,000 average daily balance in each sub-account. The charge and waiving of the $10 monthly charge (based on average daily balance) rule applies to each individual sub-account.
For Analyzed Business Checking, the earnings credit rate (ECR) earned offsets fees including monthly charges (master and sub-accounts must be set up as a family for this to apply). The ECR is calculated off the average daily balance so whatever is earned on the average daily balance will cover either a portion of the fees or all the fees. Any surplus ECR earned (ECR earned is greater than the monthly total fees/charges) will not carry over or be credited.
Sub-accounts are not available with the Basic Business Checking account.
Sub-accounts simplify budgeting by keeping funds designated for different purposes separate, so you always know exactly how much is available for each part of your business. This reduces the manual work of tracking budget categories within a single account.
Yes. Each sub-account includes its own reporting, so you can see exactly how funds are being used without digging through one combined account to find it.
No, sub-accounts let you maintain multiple business accounts under a single, consolidated banking relationship. You get the organizational benefit of separate accounts without managing several different banking relationships.
There is no cap on the number of sub-accounts you may have. The sub-accounts must be the same account type as the master account.
Membership eligibility required. Sub-accounts are available with Advanced Business Checking and Analyzed Business Checking only and are not available with Basic Business Checking. A $10 monthly fee applies per sub-account. For Advanced Business Checking, the $10 monthly fee may be waived by maintaining a minimum $15,000 average daily balance in each sub-account. For Analyzed Business Checking, the Earnings Credit Rate (ECR), when applicable, may offset some or all eligible fees; excess earnings credit does not carry over or result in a credit. Sub-accounts are combined with other accounts held under the same ownership for purposes of applicable NCUA share insurance coverage limits. See the applicable account agreement and fee schedule for complete terms and conditions. Federally insured by NCUA.
